Sweep Update is no product from Sophos PLC. I wrote it privately for my personal use and that of a lot of workmates who have only limited knowledge of their systems. Therefore, Sophos PLC is not legally or morally responsible for any problems which you may have with this product, nor do they supply any support for it, nor will they pay for any damage you might encounter from the use or installation of Sweep Update.
Sweep Update is free for non-commercial use and can be downloaded from whis website (http://home.htp-tel.de/drackow). Any further distribution without my prior consent is not allowed.
I have tested Sweep Update on several machines with Windows XP and Windows 95, 98, 98SE. and ME. There were no incompatibilities with other software, and it worked as designed. However, since this is a non-commercial product in its early stage of development, I am not liable for any damage you may encounter from this product.
So, in short: If your computer starts to produce big clouds of white smoke after the installation of Sweep Updater, you have to pay for the damage yourself :-)
